It’s time to kick off our Eurogamer coverage with a bit of good news of a new game to hit the internet by the power of Facebook. We would like to welcome you to ‘Monstermind’!

Monstermind Blasts onto Facebook as Friends Go Head to Head in Attack

Made by the London-based Bossa Studios, Established in October 2010, they have created Monstermind to be a gamer’s game! The studio is led by a team of die-hard gaming veterans from the worlds of gaming and entertainment. Together Bossa Studios has one single purpose: to revolutionise the social gaming market.

Today, Thursday 22nd September, London-based Bossa Studios officially launched its first real-time social game, Monstermind to the crowds of gaming enthusiasts, media, bloggers, game developers and animators all under one roof, at the Eurogamer Expo 2011.

Monstermind, which went live in open beta from Friday 16th September, has been an instant hit with Facebook gaming veterans and casuals alike, with thousands of active monthly users already enjoying the real-time play, friend vs friend rivalry, explosive weapons and b-movie monsters.

In addition to taking a stand at the event , where gamers can trial the game, meet the Bossa team and ask questions, Bossa is also entertaining the notoriously long Eurogamer queues with its own variation of a retro-gaming quiz. One lucky winner of the quiz will also get the opportunity to spend a behind-the-scenes day at Bossa Studios.

Founding partner of Bossa Studios, Henrique Olifiers, said:

“Eurogamer is one of the most high-profile events in gamers’ calendars so we knew how important it was to be here with Monstermind in this embryonic stage. We are really enthused by the fantastic response Monstermind has already received and we want to share and build on that excitement by having some fun with the crowds and sharingquestions and tips with visitors to our stand.”

Two Bossians, Imre Jele, creator-in-chief and Mike Bithell, lead game designer, will also be participating in Eurogamer’s career fair, where the audience can ask direct questions on what it is like to work in the gaming industry. Imre will be live on Friday from 2.30pm on the keynote panel covering the subjects of ‘Games, Careers and Education’ while Mike will be joining Sunday’s Bafty Career Surgeries from 2.30pm.
